Summer came and went. Had so much car stuff planned to do, but barely did anything at all.

Time to get motivated.

Getting the car ready for a track day at the famous Nurburgring.
It's a 3day long event packed will lots of different championships and what not.
We're gonna be driving the GP course..so thats cool.
A lot of 3rd gear action.................if I'm up to it....lol.

Well...finally an event worth getting ready for.
I'm all excited about driving again :)

Gonna try a R33 rear drum setup and hopefully have a good locking handbrake.
Finish fitting the oil cooler. And work on the alignment.

Going to change rear camber from -3,5 degrees to -2 degrees. Probably set rear toe to 0.
Add some toe out at the front. .30? old Hariguchi setup..hehe.

Then maybe shop for some extra wheels, and start stacking up used tires in good sizes.

...to get my license plates finally. Should be getting them this week.

So I took the car for inspection last week.
The mechanics gave me "the look" once I drove the car inside.
One of them even said.... " I don't think it will get up the lift..you should probably go home."
I'm up to a good start huh..

I tried to stay kind...and suggested to use the "dug out" instead of the lift.

There...it fits fine:

Inspection starts.
Brakes: good
Lights: good
Seatbelts, electrics: all good.
Exhaust CO: good, once the cat was warm.
One remark...my rear indicators are not allowed to shine to the sides, which normally is not the case, but since the previous owner modded the rear lights cluster with leds, he added some extra to the sides as well.

Next up checking underneath the car...all seams good so far.

Inspection continues..and everything is ok.

The then mechanic tells me to get the car outside for a sound test.
Err...sound test?? I didn't know I had to have exhaust noise tested as well.
Apparently since my car is a direct Jap import, they had to do that as well.
I had no idea what the allowed noise levels were and if I would pass them.

Nervously I rolled the car outside where the mechanic set up the instruments..

Just passed the sound test...phew. Cat + mid silencer + dual silenced tips = 89.5 Db.

And by the end the only thing wrong, were the rear indicator lights.
Luckily the inspector seamed to be less negative about the car and said to me, if I could fix the rear lights right now, the car would pass inspection!

I grabbed some tools, tried to figure out how the led's were wired.....took a gable, cut a cable.......and luckily enough....it worked.
Inspectors comes back....looks at the lights, smiles and walks back to get the paperwork done. :D

So that was last week......since then I have been getting the car ready for some street testing ;)

Got a second pair of spacers in. Had to roll the arches a bit more to fit some meaty 225/45/17 tires.
Gonna test those and some 205/55/16 tires to get a feel how the car reacts. Coming from AE86 and 185/60/14 tires..this is all new for me :P

Next post will have some action :)

Been a bit lazy last couple of weeks. The weather is just too nice to be doing work..haha.

Anyways, took out all the radio stuff yesterday and bolted all the interior pieces back into place.
Getting the car ready for inspection soon. Replaced the broken boost sensor for the Greddy gauge and installed it in the empty radio hole for the time being. Had a new oil temp. gauge laying around in my old parts corner, wired that up too.

Also everyone that is still waiting on stickers.....I haven't posted any yet.
Gonna try to get them all out by Sunday!

Had to raise the car to get off the driveway. Exhaust is way too low under the subframe. Gotta fix that.

Installed some speakers behind the quarter pannels. Sounds nice. Amp and sub to follow. This is no race car.

On what would you spend money FIRST if you were me??

-Loose ugly uras kit, get Dmax (Love dmax rear bumper)
-Get new coils and go lower.
-Make car reliable. (oil cooler, mega lock knuckles, susp. arms)
-Spend money on gas, tires and driiiiiiiive.
-Fiberglass fake BN front bumper back together and cut springs...baller on a budget.
-Hire awesome weddings filmmaker guy to film burnouts infront of some nightshop. (what do I wear for this occasion??)

I got a dual exit exhaust before going on the dyno.
Mid and two rear silencers, it's super nice for cruising around town.

Also had a HID kit come in two weeks ago.
Fitted on lunch break at work, rushed it a bit...

That's both sides installed on the pic ^ different colour..hmm.

Upon closer inspection it appeared that I somehow wired up the high beam on one side...lol.

Not drifting anytime soon.

Ok, so I haven't done anything on the car past coupe of weeks. Weather is not being very motivating.

There is a driftday March 6th that I really want to be at.

To do:

-Subframe swap....still. Have a free week coming up, so that should be done by then.

-Reweld seat frame.

-Tune engine. Can't figure out what the car is running on. Seams like an older ecu type.

Getting a nistune anyways...should be all good then.

-Make some tie rod spacers. Anyone got the exact measures?

-Install some flashy things and take some collars off the coils.

That's about it I guess.

Took me 4 hours to get all the wiring right and make enough space in the center console to fit the damn thing..ugh.
Mounted the Greddy boost controller in the center console too.
Everything is tucked away..perfect!

Now if only the weather would get any better, I could swap the subframe.

Roadster cracked the upper cover of the radiator and needed prompt replacement.
The radiator should be in tomorrow. I went ahead and drove to the garage to remove the old one.
I am glad I didn't slam the roadster. Made it to the garage without getting stuck..phew!

Getting a new car a week before exams week is awfull timing.
Getting a car that needs new parts asap in the oh so expensive month december..not a good idea either :(

Must resist getting any more goodies for the car!!

Wanted to sort out a couple of things past weekend. But work was busy. Only managed to swap tires and mount spacers at the back.
And weather on sunday was rain rain rain all day long.
Just managed to figure out that my greddy boost gauge sensor is bust.
So i need one of those. Halp! Dont want to spend 100$ for a new one at the moment.

Anyways. Some goodies are underway. Mostly interior stuff.
Lets hope they'll get through customs without any delay.

Oh..I still havent driven the car full throttle..
I'm afraid its gonna go boom on 98 octaan and no boost controller.
And I should check the sparkplugs. Have a feeling that they should be a degree colder.
